Alexis is a Chicago native, born and raised just outside of the city. She holds a BA of Arts from the Art Institute and has spent her life soaking up the amazing art and culture in her hometown, as well as traveling abroad to places like the UK, France, and Spain, which have all helped shape her artistic style and appreciation for beauty in life. Now in Barrington, IL, she spends her time with family, helping ensure they’re always stopping to smell the roses, often literally. After buying and selling 5 houses in 10 years, always designing spaces for the next owner, they decided it was time to establish their roots. Once finding their dream home, they began a quest to design beautiful spaces they could raise their family in. It was then that she was inspired to reconnect with her love of “creating” and began painting again. With a new blank slate, room by room their home became personalized to them, filled with art that most describe as “meant to be [in that space]”. Now she has the privilege of creating art to help others create unique spaces within their own homes that is also “meant to be”.
